1. Who needs to attend?

For a traditional in-person notarization, the signer must appear before the notary. Confirm arrangements if the document involves several signers.

2. What identification should I bring?

Ask which identification is acceptable for your situation. Do not assume every card or expired document will be accepted.

3. Is the notarial certificate included?

A non-attorney notary cannot choose the legal certificate for you or advise which legal document to use. Ask the document’s recipient or a qualified attorney if you are unsure.
